White River Resort. Welcome to Sayward’s only campground and RV site which features an extensive private river frontage, complete with trails to explore. In early spring the river is often used for white water kayaking, or tubing and floating down the river in the summer as the river calms. The Sayward Valley and surrounding areas feature a variety of interesting trails that are great for walking or cycling. Keep a look out for the resident herd of Roosevelt Elk. A couple of the more popular trails include the gentle Salmon River estuary trail and the famous and challenging Kusam Klimb, a 23 km loop up and down the mountain which draws climbers from around the world.

A short drive or cycle will take you to the docks at Kelsey Bay. Along the way you may see the bumper boats hard at work in the log sort, or from the wharf you may be lucky and see whales out in the open waters. This is also a favourite spot for saltwater fishing right from the wharf. Please make sure you have a provincial fishing license before fishing, if required, and that you adhere to all BC fisheries regulations.

There is a gas station/convenience store at the intersection on Highway 19. Restaurants and a golf course are all within walking distance or a few minutes drive. Interesting day trips can take you to Telegraph Cove and the city of Woss, for instance.

Enjoy your journey!
